Background

In December 2023 and 2024, the 1st and 2nd Annual Conference of Marine System Science of Sun Yat-sen University were successfully held at the Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), co-hosted by SYSU and the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Zhuhai) and organized by the School of Marine Sciences, SYSU. Scholars, student representatives, and industry professionals from universities and research institutions across multiple countries and regions gathered in Zhuhai to discuss cutting-edge scientific issues in marine system science. To uphold this tradition, strengthen marine technological innovation, promote international collaboration and interdisciplinary exchanges, and advance marine scientific research, the 3rd Annual Conference of Marine System Science of Sun Yat-sen University will be held from October 17–20, 2025, at the Zhuhai Campus of SYSU. The conference is jointly organized by SYSU and the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Zhuhai). We warmly welcome institutions and individuals engaged in marine science to join us in Zhuhai and collectively drive the development of marine research.
